@Lyte. What do your numbers say about interest in Lore?

Were the numbers of people visiting the lore forums the week before the Lore Team Dev Blog comparable to the week after? Does the number of people visiting the lore discussion sub forum tell you how much people cared about the story before the big announcement?

Whatever your numbers say, I can tell you they really don't take into account the passion for the story that the lore team rewarded with silence, off and on, for three years. They don't tell you how upset people have been over the various changes made, from the removal of the Journal of Justice, the League Judgments, the changes made through the Shadow Isles, the Freljord and now, the removal of "Summoners" from the story. They can't calculate how bitter and resentful the fans of the story became when treated with silence for 15 months, dealing with Rioters promoting their personal fan fiction series and allowing other players to troll us with statements like "Riot doesn't care about lore anymore, so give up."

Your numbers may tell you a lot, but statistics can lie and they don't calculate passion. Passion that, in the case of Riot, has been misplaced because it won't be reciprocated through improvements in Dominion or any real, provable assurances from the lore department.

Maybe, once you and your team have a moment to do so, figure out an algorithm to restore our diminished faith in the company that has shit on us for so long.
