What about a "reverse prisoners island" for ranked?

So, Riot has stated some time ago that they will not put toxic players in a "toxic-player-queue". They have their reasons for that and they might have a point, but what about doing something different? The prisoner#s island idea has the following thinking: toxic players will be marked and are matched more often against other marked players. But what if you don't mark the toxics but the good and nice players?

Result: those who play nice, are helpful and sportsmanslike get rewarded by being put with friendlier teammates. That's better and more rewarding than some "honor" no one cares about and that gives you maybe, MAYBE a tiny ribbon for your loading screen.

Why is this not a thing yet?

Well, unless I'm not understanding you correctly, doing this is basically the same thing, at least to me anyway. I mean, if you mark the nice, positive players so that they are more likely to be matched with each other, then who is going to be paired with the negative players? Since the positive players are more likely to be paired with each other, then that would indirectly mean that negative players are more likely to be matched with each other, which is what the original "Prisoner's Island" concept is about; and the negative players aren't even the ones being marked in this idea.

So, I wouldn't get your hopes up too high for this idea.

I think that's something you could bring up to Lyte. Ask him on his ask.fm page.

What Zombie said. It's practically the same thing.

The result is the exact same thing.
