Can y'all suggest me a good classic MMORPG that doesn't cost as much as WoW

Since our good old Rito Gams doesn't have an MMO, I tried WoW, but the free part is quite frustrating and the subscription is too high for me. Does anyone of you know of a decent classic fantasy MMO with acceptably coherent and articulated lore, that is cosmetic microtransaction-based or at least has a lower subscription fee?

That's a search I've being pursuing for over a decade with little success.

D&D Online (DDO) created the model that WoW is now following, but the difference is that the first 30~ hours of gameplay are really, really smooth with the amount of content you get. You will eventually have to spend money (or a lot of time) to get more content to further the game. It's possible to reach end-game content without spending money, but I think it would be more enjoyable to spend some money to purchase the content. There's both a subscription based model, and a model where you can buy individual adventures.

As for the lore and fantasty, it's D&D. They made this genre what it is.

Blade and soul is pretty good, but the combat is pretty different from a standard mmo. It's more PvP focused with tons of chaining skills and combos. It's free, but you have to buy character slots If you want more than 2 characters.
