How Does One Get A Loss Prevented?

I know I got around 7 games loss prevented 3 years ago, I forgot why. Did Riot delete Loss Prevented games as a whole and just count it as a loss?

the best way i found to get a loss prevented...and this way is absolute. its fool proof. Last hit the enemy nexus. This prevents any and all chances that you'll receive a loss.

Okay...sorry for being a troll, I honestly only think those are given out during major service disruptions caused by riot's servers. I could be wrong though (: [slayer-jinx-catface]

Loss Prevented is only if there is a problem on Riot's end and there is a problem with their servers.

Acknowledged server issues RIOT finds while you are currently playing is initiated and then you get loss prevented status for that game.
