Mid-Season Mage Update Predictions

We all know that mages are the next group to have small reworks to, specifically mages with low mobility. I think there are champs that I would like to see have a small rework that fit in this category, some because I think they are loosing their viability (not just because of the current meta) and others because they feel very similar to other mages.

The ones I think need improvements are Cassiopeia Fiddlesticks Zyra . I know a lot of people consider these champs still viable, especially Fiddlesticks, but again this is just what I think. Cass is the classic Medusa type character but I enjoy her story and her theme but she needs some help because her kit requires her to be so close to other champs that she is easily taken out by both longer distance mages and up close assassins and her w feels just like her q but with a slow, because without that she only has her r for any real cc to get away or chase enemies down. Fiddle is a champ that I really love and I like his concept a lot, and while I understand his kit revolves around him being a scarecrow and staying still while dishing out a ton of damage, he has one of the highest skill caps in the game and all of his abilities (except for his ult) are point and click so I feel like something needs to change. Zyra is my home girl, like the others I love the idea behind her and being able to sprout plants to annoy the crap out of your opponents but it seems like even when she is able to set off her combos perfectly there is still little reword for it.

Wow... this is a lot longer than I thought.

With the marksmen changes, Riot wanted to really make each adc feel different and this is something I think mages are in deperate need of. Here are mages that I think are too alike: Brand / Xerath and Lux / Morgana. First we'll talk about Brand and Xerath, both long range champs capable of one-shooting your tank if they make it to the late game but their kits are so alike that its hard to to tell the difference. Both have a skill shot stun (Brand's q + passive & Xerath's e) both have an area burst damage (Brand's and Xerath's w). Now given that Brand's Conflagration and Xerath's Arcanopulse are distinct to them both as well as their ults, half of their kits seemed copied and pasted. Lux and Morgana are both great mid laners who have the ability to be great supports as well but are both going through an identity crisis. A quick glance at their abilities and we see a snare, shield, and aoe damage. At a closer look each of these are different, Lux snares two and has a lower base damage, Morgana's aeo spell does damage over time and doesn't slow, and Lux can shield more than one person but Morgana can protect the ally champ from cc. Ults are completely different and while their other abilities show some difference I can't help but feel like I'm play the same champ.

Sorry for the rant... just some things I would like to see with the mage changes later this season.

Zyra is a still mage who most need up, his skill shot is far too slow and is too fragile with 325 movement over its liabilities is a delay with a ridiculous extent it is almost impossible to kill a target with
