we need to be able to reset our Elo/MMR

What do i mean we need an option that you could buy with RP or IP (probably RP) that would allow you to reset your ELO/MMR back to 1200 (like the season reset)

And in order to people not abuse it make it "In order to reset your elo you would need to have play at least 100 ranked games"

In that way people wouldnt do their promos and if they fail they would do them again!

Now why i say that we need that

Because if you are kinda unlucky and you eat a big lose streak your MMR is over and you cant fix it any more so you stack in one division for ever (You take 14 per win you lose 30 per lost) so in order to fix a mmr like that you would need to have 200% win ratio on your game with 0% lost ratio..yeah that not gonna happen!

With the reset option people would have the option to go all the way back to 1200 elo and to climb again normally and to escape from the MMR !

Because that what "elo hell" is when you destroy your MMR because of luck or what ever you stack in one division till the end of the season!

When I started playing this game I could not wait to be 30 so I could play ranked.

I was very bad. I hit 30 and entered rank. I was placed Bronze 3.. I thought, wow that's not fair.,.. I then fell all the way to the depths of Bronze 5.. Why? I asked myself.. The answer.. because I was that bad.

You know what I did? I read guides.. watched streamers.... practiced... and did my best to learn the game. Am I a pro now? No... and I never will be... that's not my goal..However, I was able to climb from Bronze 5 to Gold 3 where I sit now.... I have fluctuated in gold not because of my team, but because that is my solo skill level.

There is no reason or need for someone to reset their MMR.... You are where you are because you can't play your way out. When you gain the ability to climb.. you will climb.

Giving players any ability to artificially manipulate their own rating is an extremely bad idea.

One elo reset per season should be allowed for a fee. Of course...

  • the elodelusional HATE this idea, because, according to them, the elosystem is perfection incarnate.

  • and eloboosters HATE this idea because they think it will eat into their business

If you've played more than 100 games, you are where you belong in the system. An mmr reset is just you gambling on luck placing you higher than you belong because you think the grass would be greener on the other side. But all it would lead to is you being too high and needing to go on an epic losing streak to go down to where you belong... because the reality is you AREN'T stuck in ELO Hell, other people AREN'T holding you back, and you do in fact belong where you are. Just like everyone else.
