Good. Anyone who thinks they deserve refunds in a free to play game is entitled.

What about those of us who during our infancy stages of the game spent our refunds on unneeded transactions such as champions. In my case I spent refunds on things like Master Yi , because we thought we really wanted that Ip, but years down the road we buy something such as Arcade Ahri, and actually would like to refund due to choppy animations? Just giving you a different viewpoint on the fact that some of us failed to put refunds to good use.

Yes, and it's unfortunate you did, however their terms on refunds were clear. You received 3. It's not their fault and shouldn't be expected to lose huge amounts of revenue due to player ignorance. They gave you 3 refunds to refund any sort of currency you wanted back. It wasn't their job to say "You should wait and save these refunds for RP purchases" as that would directly dent their business model. You made clear, uninhibited decisions.

I did it too. I bought Zed to refund him to buy him again. Pretty fucking stupid, but I understand that it was my fault. The terms on refunds were clear. I don't expect anymore.

The problem isn't the few that horribly messed up. If they give it to some, they give it to all. That means they give out MILLIONS of refunds globally and allow for millions more as now every new account gets at least 4 or more. You're thinking too small in terms of what this means for the company. With this free to play model, they don't make the money something like WoW would for Blizzard. Handing out millions of refunds is a massive financial dent in any company, let alone a free to play model.

All champions and skins are showcased before release. Many videos, including a dedicated spotlight video. You may also join the free PBE testing server, or at least watch streamers and others that do so and decide if you like the skin or not. Refunding a skin because you didn't know it'd be choppy is like grabbing a sandwich from a deli, taking a few bites and realizing it had mustard and not mayo. They give you all the tools to make fully informed decisions.

Remember, it's not like all they have to give out some more refunds a year. Every single account in existence would get at least one more refund. That's millions. I can't be bothered to look up how many active accounts exist, but it's in the millions if not the hundred millions. Plus, adding more refunds per account that is ever created, adding on hundreds more millions.

Do you realize what 100 million refunds costs them? Sure, not all of it is RP, but they often are. That's so much money lost in a free to play game. Plus. refunding IP reduces the chance someone will spend RP to buy another champ so that further cuts revenue.

People need to stop thinking selfishly and appreciate the game Riot has put out and the business model they use and understand the devastating financial implications of some of the suggestions they make. Hope I'm not coming off as hostile, just trying to state it how it is.

I don't see why they don't just refresh the three refunds every new season for whatever the current non sale price of the item is.

Also between EA, Activision, and Ubisoft. Every time I see a game company/dev use the word "exploring in the future" I cant help but think of that as a short hand for "Were not doing shit with this".

Let's not forget that they indeed gave us free stuff every year. With hextech last year, they gave us so much free stuff. Yes, you can buy chests and keys, but you can get up to 52 chests and enough key fragments for all of them if you grind them. They never had to give us anything for free, as the game is free already. As much as I would want to refund a few skins for champion that I just never touch anymore and such, I am completely fine with them not giving us refunds, but other free stuff instead.
