It's not strictly wrong. This has been stated before, but we'll say it again: at different levels, the game just looks different. Bronze is team deathmatch, where everyone kills everyone until the death timers are so long that there's nothing to do after a team fight but take a tower. Silvers are more objective focused, but often pick team with no siege ability, or execute their sieges improperly and fail to actually get inner/inhib towers. Splitpushing is commonly attempted at the worst possible times by champions with only moderate threat to towers, etc. Win conditions therefore revolve around the power boost provided by dragon stacking or baron, and the game often turns into king of the hill. This is reinforced by a lack of trading objectives and player reliability. What's more, your average silver team has at least two players chomping at the bit to fight whoever, whenever, for any reason, and everyone knows everyone tracks dragon timers now, and the drake is usually taken within a minute of spawn. ergo, these four players will always be there, and their teams wont abandom them, etc. It's self-causing really.

Side note, why is 3rd drake considered so bad? While in a fight the move speed feels small, it feels big when it comes to rotations and longer term positioning. I've seen a few games won and lost mostly based on that speed boost.

Since season 2? LMAO

  1. I congratulate him for still being in silver if he'd started playing in Silver. Didn't know that's possible.
  2. In season 2, 3 and most of 4, dragons don't have buffs attached to them, you get them and have a bit of global gold and exp but that's it.

Conclusion, he is a noob and deserve to stay in silver :)

depends the situation an early tower for an early dragon is considered worth as long as you dont allow them to keep stacking if its later in the game it depends a if either objective is free its best to take the tower then fall back on drag if you have to trade one for the other it depends again how many stacks do they have? how many turrets can you get? can you get an inhib? how many stacks do you have? so no the statement a dragon is always worth more than a turret is not correct

even now when dragons have buffs they aren't always more important than towers. It's widely accepted that you can give up even first drag if you must as long as you get that first one later. 2nd and 4th aren't incredibly useful and letting them go is ok, however by 4th you probably want to contest because 5th is coming soon and it may be too late then

yea I had a teammate last week think dragons were still worth gold AND he was playing jungle... wish he had mentioned it pregame so I coulda noped outta there and dodged.

It's important to get 5th drake. It's useful to get 4th drake because in 6 minutes you can get 5th drake. It's important to have 1st drake by 30 minutes. It's useful to deny 1st drake to the enemy team at 30 minutes.

Basically if either team has 0 dragons, dragon is huge and worth more than towers. If both teams have one or two, doesn't matter much because 5th won't be possible for a long time and you can't deny their 1st drake, so towers are a good trade.

Depends on your teams composition and inevitable goal.

If your team is based around the early and mid game, then towers are important for trying to close out the game early.

If your team is more based around the late game, then dragon is a better pick.

Either way though, so long as your team is taking objectives and not dying all over the place, then you're doing good, even if your team is split upon which route is best.

the worst is when you could win or take an inhib and maybe a tower on top and people are like "lets baron! baron is so op! guaranteed win right there!"

as opposed to super minions in 2 lanes...

OTBOY6/5/2015, 8:41:07 PM1 votes

i am challenger, well,it depending on which tower, and when, from my perspective, nothing is more important than the first mid tower b4 15mins.

KDA > Objectives! you all nubs!

Like if I'm top and my enemy laner tped down to drag, and I don't have tp up then you better believe I'm taking first and/or the second tower. If I take two towers for their like 1st-3rd dragon I think it was worth.

Also, in the context of how you guys did it you guys did it right. You pressured other lanes and pushed them so the enemy has to reset or push out the lanes agains while you guys get drag. If they contest dragon at that point they will just be missing a shit ton of gold, and possibly more towers.

It's really all opinions but I believe its dependent on how much your team is dying. Well, thats pretty much my answer to everything though. If you're team is 6/0 I would keep an eye on it until higher lvls or more deaths. You already have map control at that point and don't want to give them free kills because they warded the dragon. If you team is 0/6 you already lost map control and should go for it...safely. I personally care more about how much a player dies then how much he kills.

KirbyCake6/5/2015, 1:01:31 AM1 votes

actually his statement is correct, towers have always been more important than drag

Daedalus8716/5/2015, 5:17:11 AM1 votes

There are times when dragon is more important than towers and times when towers are more important. As a rule of thumb, I'd say towers are more important than the first 2 dragons, then they are more important.

Duke Anax6/5/2015, 11:50:34 AM1 votes

Interesting, I always felt like you can just get the tower later, but if you don't get dragon the enemy will.

What's even more I always feel relieved when they ged rid of your first tower, because it gives more room to fight with.
