its 2015. riot is on their 5th season. yet not a single solution for losing lp when u have an afk has been found. but they did update the lcs twitch page. keep it up guys.

Rueian1 votesWell, ya... because it happens to everyone at some point, and one game in a season is not even a drop when you compare it to an ocean. I'm not going to say it isn't upsetting, because it is, but you just need a larger volume of games, and then it wont matter.

Rueian1 votesWe all understand that it can be upsetting. But this is the best they can do right now. There isn't a way to 1 justify purposeful afk/dc vs accidental afk/dc. And they cant reduce LP loss without reducing LP gain which isn't fair to the other team and would be abused as a mechanic. SoloQ is just not a great place.
ClockwrkValkyrie1 votesthe solution if a player is afk for X+ minutes, the protection kicks in. do something like 5-10 minutes. in this case, if the game is almost over someone cant just afk and protect the others cause enemy team has that time frame to end. Also make it so the afker actually loses more so that way no one is gonna volunteer to afk.
this is not a hard problem to fix...
