I personally don't even think there should be duo queue and heres why...
I grab my friend Bill (hes diamond 1) hes on his smurf, badaboom im diamond now. Real show of skill is climbing by yourself not with someone else who carries you.

If your friend bill can solo carry you through diamond then he should be a pro.. Hell even carry you through plat would shock me.
Its super hard for one person to carry a team when another is so under skilled in higher elo.
