I'm sure I'm toxic

I don't know how to not get mad at people who consistently do dumb things. I understand mistakes, but I don't understand people who continue to make the same mistakes. When I received a 14- day ban it started as me just trying to help the guy, but when he starts intentionally feeding my lane and saying "i don't care, I won't get banned" and i get mad and call him a * bleep bleep. The team reports us both because I get mad and I get banned, and he doesn't because I said more than him.. I know I have my own problems because I get so mad about a game, but I'm bad at LoL and I'm trying to get better, so it makes me mad when I have to deal with people who waste my time by trolling me in a game.

I said this when it was in Gameplay and Balance ( I guess it got moved?) I would rather play with a muted toxic player trying their best than a silent feeder any day. There is some major inconsistency with bans.

First off you're making an assumption that he did not get punished as well. You simply do not know whether he was punished or not, so assuming one way or another is just silly.

Secondly you don't get punished from one game, don't make it sound like you did.

And last and most importantly people learn at different rates. Some people only make a mistake once and immediately correct it, however most people take some time for that mistake to sink in. The average person takes multiple games to figure out that something is a mistake, and a few games more to figure out how to fix it. If the average person bothers you I would suggest playing with a premade.

Riot's stance is that retaliation is not okay. We all get mad at feeders and what-not. Especially in this sense. I'm sympathize with you to an extent, but one thing people seem to forget is that Riot is never going to be able to get rid of everyone toxic or trolling. That being said, this sort of thing is something that we're unfortunately going to have to deal with.

I would rather play with a silent feeder than a toxic player because the game is then more dependent on my actions and I have more opportunity to shine.

Toxic people are the reason feeding is a problem in the first place. Duh.

I don't know how to not get mad at people who consistently do dumb things.

This is a common point of confusion. I see lots of players making this same kind of comment. So let me be very clear: there's absolutely nothing wrong with getting mad at people - regardless of the reason.

The system only cares about what you do, not how you feel. So as long as you aren't expressing that anger or frustration in a way that the system can detect as toxic, you're in the clear.

So you can, y'know, yell. Throw things. Squeeze a stress ball. Punch something. Send private messages to your friends about how shitty the game is and how stupid your teammates are (private messages aren't included in chat logs).

The team reports us both because I get mad and I get banned, and he doesn't because I said more than him..

Right now, there's a system in place that issues bans for verbal toxicity extremely quickly. Intentional feeding, however, hasn't yet been added to that system - according to s@20, though, it will be part of patch 5.18.

This doesn't mean that intentional feeding isn't a bannable offense. Only that, for now, it takes longer to build/process/punish a feeding case than it does a verbal case.

You don't play with the same people over and over to know they're consistently bad, I'm sure there have been plenty of games where people have thought the exact same thing about you.

or riot could use any common sense and watch replays of games to visually see the intentional feeding. then insta-ban. hurr durr.
