That Champion that you thought you'd never want to play and now is your main

I found my main Karthus early. He was the second Champion I bought after Warwick but there are other Champions who are now my mains but I thought I wouldn't ever play! When I bought Rumble I did it because weirdly, after a year playing LoL I NEVER saw him in any game, ARAM or normal. That made me think like WTF is wrong with this champ? Why nobody plays him? And the hipster thing possessed my mind and I bought him just to play something that "nobody did". Obviously shortly after I started seeing how common Rumble actually was, but by that time he was already my main top pick! And the latest one is Shen ! I always thought he was total crap. Then I started to be curious about him because he was a different Champion. When I finally bought him like 2 months ago I fell in love instantly. I played him top, jungle or support. I loved his kit. I loved his playstyle. I loved to save people's asses with my ult and get the kill. Do you have other early hate stories about Champions that now are your mains?

Jayce

I started this game wanting to play a knight/tank. Not really into the science fiction gaming style. Jayce was never worth the 6300 for me until f2p week came. Haven't stopped since.

Akali

Not much of a top laner, and I hated Akali with a passion. I played her once in URF cause she was free the same week and was like "huh she's kinda fun."

Bought her for normals OH MY GOODNESS.

Surprisingly I've shifted mains quite frequently over the years.

Initially, Zilean was my main. Eventually as I moved into mid laners, I played a lot of Veigar . Then, when Lee Sin was announced, I was like, I'M GOING TO LEARN HOW TO JUNGLE. Lee sin got me into jungling, and was my main for a while in the jungle.

Eventually, my mains turned to Sivir for ADC (which is now Ashe).

When Karma's Rework first went out, I decided to play her, and was adamant that she was in a good spot. Constant buffs made me main her and absolutely wreck face. Eventually, I swapped over to Soraka for my support main, Veigar for my mid main, Maokai for Jungle. I try to avoid top lane, but I actually swap up my top lane picks quite frequently, usually going with some form of tank or AP champion.
