Does subliminal messaging really work?

so i was reading up on a few 👍Upvote research studies, and it turns out that people 👍Upvote who were shown pictures of popcorn and soda in a movie were most likely to buy 👍Upvote food afterwards. these pictures were flashed in single frames, far too fast for human perception. still, refreshment 👍Upvote purchases increased by over 30%. does this stuff really work? 👍Upvote
