Hello. I am here to inquire of the reasons why I was issued a 14 day suspension after one game where someone got offended that I would dare to state the truth about a game. I said virtually nothing and as of lately have been holding my tongue (since my last 25-game chat restriction, to be exact) in games. I will use the occasional colorful word regarding situations, but have not really been insulting my teammates lately and suddenly I get this message about being "banned". I check my email and am told that I have been found in violation of the terms and services; however, I am given NO details regarding it. I want to know what is going on here. You can check my most recent chat logs and see that while I am quite frustrated at times, I am not degrading other summoners (other than at times stating the obvious, such as "if you cannot fill all roles, then do not play ranked/uninstall" or "why the f*** is no one helping me???"). I recently read something that talked about "abusing the reporting system"...which I find quite odd. See, when I get out of games and I have teammates that all game long fuss and complain about each other, feed, and keep giving the enemy team gold over and over and over again, I normally report them for "Assisting the Enemy Team". I am stuck in Bronze, and this has been happening to me time and time again, so I have been sending in a plethora of AET reports. Please tell me, is this NOT what that feature is for? Most of the time these players are toxic or trolls...or both. I need an answer ASAP regarding this. I really just want to know why after improving my behavior I am suddenly banned. Also, I know for a fact that the decision was not reached by the Tribunal in a just-cause premise due to the fact that I was immediately banned AS SOON AS A GAME WAS OVER. I just got off of a team where our jungler was an obvious troll (got executed 2 times in the jungle as Hecarim and kept feeding all enemies he could find), our "support" was an Annie that said she "wasn't going to build support" [okay, fine...it's Annie], but then she took kills and farm and kept seemingly purposefully dying to the enemy team. Our ADC did nothing but feed and her excuse was the the support was taking her stuff. The only lane that did well was top lane and myself; however, the three other teammates I had went and fed our two lanes to the point that they could destroy us two with ease. As you might be able to imagine, this was an EXCRUCIATING game to play (heck, it would have been painful to watch)! The enemy ADC, fed off these obvious trolls goes on and just says oh how it was a "good game" and "well played"; to which I replied, "no, it was NOT a good game, nor was it well played, if you think that, you are delusional". There is a time for good sporting...and a time to look at and examine the truth of the matter. After I made that simple statement, the enemy player went on to say how that was "toxic" and "reported". I can understand if the Tribunal comes to a decision and then the governing Rioters see it as well and I am disciplined a few days later...but I have a real problem when SUDDENLY and WITHOUT WARNING I get the "banned" message. That's not cool and needs to be fixed. I have noticed since this new "Master Tier" implementation, I have been getting more and more trolls. Thanks, as always for the response...I need action done...this is the first time this has ever happened to me and I feel like I am either going about something wrong (like am I misunderstanding Report for Assisting Enemy Team somehow...in which case please explain it so I do not continue to make this mistake), is something glitched out? How on Earth can I be in violation of terms and services? Did the ToS change to make all adult language inappropriate (in which case the Mature language filter should not have the option to be turned off any longer)? Please help me out!

Regarding V EULA § E: "Transmitting or communicating any content which, in the sole discretion of Riot Games is deemed offensive, including but not limited to, language that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, sexually explicit, or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable;"

Okay, I need to know if mature language is considered vulgar. If it is, then why is there an option to turn off the filter. Why is everyone that uses this language not banned? Is stating to someone something that is true to keep the spirit of the game fun for people that they might not like considered bannable; for example, telling someone to "uninstall/don't play ranked if you cannot fill roles"? What is considered "abusive and harassing"? I have had many many times that I will have this language occur to me and that person will NOT be banned (and yes, I do report them). Furthermore, the Summoner's Code is NOT required to be followed by all players...in which case I must inquire, why? Come on Riot...this is a serious issue!

Regarding IV ToU § B(g): "NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CONTRARY HEREIN, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOU SHALL HAVE NO OWNERSHIP OR PROPERTY INTEREST IN YOUR ACCOUNT, AND THAT YOU AGREE THAT ALL RIGHTS IN AND TO THE ACCOUNT ARE AND SHALL FOREVER BE OWNED BY AND INURE TO THE BENEFIT OF RIOT GAMES. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOU HAVE NO CLAIM, RIGHT, TITLE, OWNERSHIP OR OTHER PROPRIETARY INTERESTS IN THE GAME ASSETS, VIRTUAL ITEMS OR RIOT POINTS THAT YOU ACQUIRE REGARDLESS OF THE CONSIDERATION OFFERED OR PAID IN EXCHANGE FOR RIOT POINTS OR VIRTUAL ITEMS. FURTHERMORE, RIOT GAMES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE IN ANY MANNER FOR THE DESTRUCTION, DELETION, OR MODIFICATION, OR IMPAIRMENT, 'HACKING', OR ANY OTHER DAMAGE OR LOSS OF ANY KIND CAUSED TO THE GAME ASSETS, VIRTUAL ITEMS OR RIOT POINTS UPON THE TERMINATION OR EXPIRATION OF YOUR ACCOUNT."

You may or may not know the answer to this. How is this legal, in any way shape or form, other than due to the fact we "Agree" to it? This is literally saying that services WE PAY FOR we do not own. That is unjust, unlawful, and possibly illegal. I have not had a problem with the legal aspect of LoL at the present, but this is really worrying. You are literally telling people that they do not own what they buy. According to federal law, that is wrong and unlawful. I can find it for you if you would like. This is a VERY pressing matter...and I need an explanation of this sooner than soon! To whomever is replying to this, I know that you personally did not write this in, but I am very appalled at this idea!

Disclaimer: there are a few things in there that are obvious and fine, such as the idea that Riot is not responsible for hacking done to you; however, my concern is mainly where it talks about us not owning what we pay for. Unless Riot is a non-profit organization, our payments are billable sales, not donations. Only in the case of donations could, legally speaking, that work out.

On top of this, I believe that you can look at all of my chat logs from every single game I have ever played in the past 2 seasons and see that I have never intentionally fed. You say that this was "reviewed" and I want examples please. Furthermore, how is it that mysteriously not 3 minutes after a single bad game of mine I get suddenly suspended.

I find it unjust that players being verbally reprimanded for horrible performance and generally breaking the spirit of the game are given more right than those speaking up for themselves and attempting to better the game (and I daresay community as well).

I'd argue that you are indeed degrading other summoners with what you say to them. You also weren't banned for a single game, you had warnings beforehand (chat restriction).

Because the TLDR of the TOS/EULA is "don't be a dick in our game".

Because Riot is a privately held company dealing in virtual goods. They are functioning as a software manufacturer; consumers purchase licenses, allowing them to access the product. Federal law does not apply to clear and precedented cases of licensing.

Is there any particular reason homophobic is in quotation marks? Anyway, suspensions are not given for one game, it's a proven pattern of negativity.

Look, dude. Follow the rule of "don't be a dick" and everything will work out swimmingly. There is no need to have specifically drawn rules in the sand, especially since 99% of the community seems to understand how to not get banned.

I don't think Riot's response to trolls/toxic players is going in the right direction. Harsher punishments don't have that great of a success rate as a deterrent than other methods

The first Amendment, verbatim:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

Allow me to emphasize something that is paradoxical; "Congress shall make no law..." some might say this only applies to politics and government; however, let me make it VERY clear that this can also be interpreted to mean that Congress shall not make laws allowing others to make laws/rules/regulations regarding free exercise of religion, speech, the press, assembly, or right to petition. Regarding your Tuna example; you could easily sue the company for failure to deliver services paid for due to the Incorporation Clause.

If we are getting this technical then I can also freely state that by law, that check box is not legally binding for the simple reason that there is no way of verifying that it was YOU that pressed it. If I ask for your signature it is because it is UNIQUE and the general idea is that only YOU will be able to make it; if I give you a checkbox and do not have someone sitting there verifying over webcam and voice communication as well as other visual verification methods, I can only CLAIM that it was you. The only other way that is positively verifiable is to get your Social Security Number in-put typed in. Simply putting a checkbox does not make it reliable.

Furthermore, the 14th amendment goes on to state that, "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside. No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws." in its first section. Allow me to emphasize the phrase "...or enforce any law...." legally speaking, if this is being followed, then the state of California is not knowingly allowing RIOT Games, Incorporated to uphold said laws (in this case, . By "enforcing any law," that can [and does] mean "upholding as lawful".

Another general problem is that League does not have a strict standard for what is "toxic" and what is "not toxic". This can easily be seen as discrimination. If the League of Legends decided to make the Summoner's Code a bit more concrete...AND REQUIRE THAT IT BE AGREED UPON (yeah, you heard right; as it is right now, we are not OBLIGATED to following the Summoner's Code--check it out for yourself, Riot even has a note that explicitly states you are not required to follow the SC), where across the board people were given set punishments for set "crimes", then it could not be argued as being discriminatory.

I'll point your to the Sixth Amendment now: "In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense."

This does NOT limit itself to Congress or the State governments, it says "IN ALL CRIMINAL PROSECUTIONS"--that would, indeed, include U.S. company Riot Games's method of punishing toxic ("criminal")

The #1 thing I see feeder trolls do in game is talk about how they don't care about getting reported and have no fear of repercussion. Between that, the crap player base in general(this is the ONLY multiplayer game I've played with such a consistently awful player base), poor servers, poor Riot customer service. I'm out. I hope you get some sort of response more than some stupid generic email that you never actually get a reply to.
