[Idea] Developer-Support

Hey what's up everyone?! So I just had this epic idea that I think could save many players much frustration and feelings of insignificance!

What we need is another support site...for DEVELOPER questions! EVERYONE knows that Riot's current player support is, well, quite frankly, amazing, to say the least! They are some of the nicest people I have ever met; however, being "nice" does not equal "having answers"! Many times you'll ask someone in player support a question about the reason something was done the way it was (or complain about said "something" lol), and you'll get a response that very politely lets you know that player support technician has no clue of what the answer to your question is (or no way of quelling your complaints)! This can be VERY frustrating, and you can't even be mad at the people at player support because they are so damn nice lol!!! So, we need to implement a site (or section of the current support-site) that will specifically send your questions/concerns/comments to [a queue for] a developer that CAN answer these! I understand that the dev's are busy (duuuuuuh), but if someone was willing to wait until they got around to answering these tickets, I think it would be WELL worth it!

On a side-note, due to the high level of frequent, open player HATE for certain people at times (Morello, you there? :-P j/k), said system should incorporate a zero-tolerance, permanent account-ban and IP-ban for people who abuse these tickets to insult our dev's. I admit, sometimes these dev's do things that seem stupid to some and genius to others (can't please everyone...just the majority), but that is no reason to waste their valuable time insulting them in a private email...they have feelings too...they are people, not robots (unless they're pulling all-night maintenance, in which case "Robot-coffee-mode" is activated LOOOOL)!

Anyway, I find that this would really, and I mean REALLY help bridge that gap that has occurred over the years between the GM's and the player-base due to the large growth of Riot! Again, please understand that if such a system was implemented, the wait time for a response may be far longer than that for a normal support ticket, due to the high amount of time-consuming responsibilities our developers have to take care of on a day-to-day basis! Then again, if something is really all THAT important to you, waiting will not be a problem!

I've been wondering about the idea of a separate @Riot area for a little while and overall, I'm for it, but I think it's better suited to remain in the forums or at least a forum-style. Mainly so Rioters can bulk address a problem in one go and then consistently get feedback from several different sources at the same time.

The only real problem I've come up with this idea is that it may create an even greater sense of expectancy for answers. If a thread goes 'unanswered' in the midst of GD or 'Misc' it's not a big deal, but unanswered in an @Riot area and a lot of people will consider that (wrongly) as actively ignoring.

Honestly I would love a specific area to ask reds questions and give feedback, it would not only make it easier to track things like that but it would also free up the regular forums areas with community to community topics that forums are kinda meant for. But I think Riot will need to get a dedicated team for that area to keep up with the massive actively forum engaged playerbase and the questions they bring.
