[Idea] RIOT HELP ME! OUCH! MY LEGS! THEY HURT! OUCH MY LEGS!!!

Well, now that I have your attention, let's begin.

Have you ever noticed something about LoL that is quite unique in the RPG-Online-game world...there's no leg armor!~ Now, cosmetically speaking, we don't see the armors that our champions wear...but theoretically speaking, it would make sooooooo much more sense to have at least some pieces of leg-armor! For example, why do both Thornmail and Spirit Visage both resemble chest pieces? Many champions use both of these items, and in theory it seems quite silly to dress them that way; however...if Spirit Visage, for example, were to be a piece of LEG armor, this would make much more sense! I know this idea isn't too super duper important, but it would still be nice to see incorporated into the game! What do you guys think? Riot, why ARE the visuals of armor the way they are? Why don't we have "shoulder" pieces or "leg" pieces or even more than one or two helmet/hats? Is there a reason for this...or was it just some old Alpha template that's used to create items?

Most champions have chests, hence armor that would be worn around the upper body. I'll admit that boots are the rare exception that some champs don't have feet to put them on. But, I feel there are more champions where it wouldn't make any sense to have leg armor. Some that come to mind are Vel'Koz, Kassadin, Twitch (old model), Anivia, Corkie, Cassiopeia, Karthus, Lissandra, Nocturne, Rumble, Skarner, and perhaps any of the Yordles whos legs are too small.
