I sat there, for over ten minutes waiting for the last person to connect, and apparently, in that time, the game had fucking started. I didn't even get a bug splat error or anything.

I've had this happen, as well. It's super annoying, but if you're paying attention, you can guess when it's happening.
LOL! This has happened to me before too!! After I see no one change loading % (or if everyone is sitting at 100%) for about 1-2 minutes I just automatically crash the client just in case.
I know the feels...
Happened to me and a friend before, we were on VC and I was like-why are you still in base? He said it was still in the loading screen lol. Sad this is still happening.
The worst part about this is that we can get leaver buster for it.
