Dynamic queue + balance

If you are a solo player why do you have to get punished for people who are in a premade.

Example: I'm an innocent little gold 5 solo, I get placed with a 5 man premade who is made up of a gold 5, a gold 3, and 2 plat 5s. The enemy team is made up of the same. I go top lane and am laning against a plat 5 Darius main.

Explain to me why I have to lane against a person 5 tiers above me just because I soloed? Please. Justify it.
