Personally I do not believe so, countless times I have had to lane against someone who is plat 5 or plat 4 simply because I was placed on a team with a premade. How is it a show of my skill when match making reduces my chances of winning simply by placing me against a player who is significantly higher tiered that myself?

I played support one day and my adc was an ashe who was playing her first ranked game. Now I'm not an expert but that doesn't sound fair or balanced for her. She got rolled so hard....
System balances mmr, you may be the low end of the scale. just means you need to show you deserve to climb the games are balanced(mostly) you can check your mmr per team adn they're roughly the same(+- a few points) Just because you're not playing a game with 9 identical mmr people doesnt mean unbalanced

I would to like to post my 2 cents on this topic. I am a gold 3 support main, when I was in gold 5 and 4 I was playing with people who were gold 3+ and that was good. Now that I have been in gold 3 I only play with silver 2s and 3s what the hell is up with that?
