How to play on Latin America North with English text and voice! (For fellow east coasters!)
If you play on the east coast and didn't know, the Latin America North server is located in Miami, Florida which results in much better ping for east coasters. I know a lot of people would like to play on LAN but can't stand the Spanish voice-overs.
It's very, very simple change it from Spanish into English.
Step 1. Close client, reopen client. Step 2. Change region to Latin America North. Close client. Step 3. Go to your league of legends directory (mine is C:\Riot Games\league of legends\RADS\system). Step 4. Open up the RADS folder, then the system folder. Step 5. Open the locale.cfg file (if it prompts you to use a program, choose notepad). Step 6. Edit locale to say "locale = en_US" (without the quotes!). Save file. Step 7. Re-open your league client, it will now be on LAN with English.
NOTE: if you switch back to NA you will have to re-accomplish these steps when switching from NA back to LAN.
Why should I play on the LAN server? If you live on the east coast you probably have ~100 ping at best most of the time, after playing from California from two years I was really surprised what a difference it made when I moved back to the east coast. I average around ~40-50 ping on LAN. Most people understand English, although not all people do. Roles are called the same, it's really no different than NA (seems to have less trolls and angry children actually).
