Welp, GD has officially joined us here in boards and I'm already tired of seeing the whining. Seriously, I don't mind feedback and I understand many people preferred the GD format but I rarely see a comment much beyond "this sucks." The biggest factor that was allowing me to enjoy these boards were the actual discussions we were able to have, but now that GD is over here with their loud mob mentality, I am really off-put. Hopefully it calms down in a week or two.

Riot, its time for you to admit that you should have left GD by itself, or enforced very stringent moderation of the boards after the move.

With any luck the worst examples from GD just threw up their hands at the changes, got into some paranoid delusion about Nazi moderating, or went to that other "geedee" forum that all the "new boards are terrible!" whiners were passing around. Can't say I'd be unhappy with any of those options.

I feel somehow alienated by it all. I've spent a huge amount of time on GD. But ever since, I don't know, a year ago, that forum has spiraled into a bunch of off-topic spam-posting. It's not like there weren't trash threads back in the day, but the main type of "trash thread" then was "poorly written rant about a Champion being OP". Then, all the "weeb"/"waifu" threads, and the "supports suck" threads, and the "dae feminism = sexism" threads came. It snowballed into a complete mess.

I was wondering why people were so civil and well-spoken here on Boards. It might be that it's because everyone else is in the GD cesspool.

At first i was sympathetic, i didnt like GD but i didnt think it fair to force them to change. Now idc, the first time 99% of them used the boards was to post about how much it sucked... as if they had been using it for months. Sick of the whining at this point.

Oh no, it's almost like Riot demolished a perfectly working forum and forced us all to endure this Still Beta forum while they work out the bugs and treat us like guinea pigs. I'm glad you came here of your own volition, you get a gold star, but we were forced out of our community to engage in this trainwreck, and needless to say, we're not pleased. Until Riot starts getting the message and starts making changes for the better, you'll be hearing a lot out of us.

I've visited these forums before the GD merge happened, I visit the Reddit forums too

Doesn't really matter where you go, same issue with people being pseudo intellectual and pretentious, same issue with people having bias and deciding to judge others based on premise of 'group' and clique.

Yeah, I'm pretty skeptical of Riot after dealing with them for several years now. I'll believe their customizations when they actually do it. Still miffed they forced us here while it's still clearly marked as "Boards Beta".
