It would be unfair to offer someone no LP considering they did go into the ranked game expecting to have a fair 5 on 5 fight and it was not their choice that an enemy AFKed and they wasted 20 minutes that they could be in a different game.

Wow strawman me much. I said they shouldn't lose FULL LP Meaning they should lose less than they would if they lost with a fair game.

Losing less LP for a loss WILL lead to rank inflation. Just make everyone diamond, then there will be no problems with LP for anyone.

If you want people to lose less LP for an afk ally loss, they must gain less lp for an afk enemy gain. Not sure why this is a difficult concept?

That's my point. If you GAIN max LP and 4 people of the enemy team do not LOSE max LP, then that is a NET GAIN, thus rank inflation. The ranks will become irrelevant.
