Things I hear when I play non-support Taric

Zed "What is that damage?? and that noob stun how is it even fair? fucking op" Yasuo "wth? I dealt no damage this is bs" Caitlyn "Since when Taric deals this damage?"

Taric is a Champion that most of people are used to see as support healing and stunning and that's it and they don't understand how it works. He excels against damagy Champions who are not very resistant. Especially AD champions but also AP squishies. And he suffers a lot against AP Tanks or Ap Champions with high sustainability (Swain Akali ) So yes, when I go against your sorry Zed/Yasuo/Ahri/adc ass I am going to easily deal 300 damage with one aa because I have my passive, I destroyed your armor with my W and I also have item 3025 and after stunning you twice and heal the little damage you dealt because I have 300 armor, I am going to increase my Ap and Ad with my ulti. So yes, I deal a lot of damage. Their complaints really sound like music to my ears.

Curious why you list Ahri there? She's AP with true damage and sustain via her passive... sounds like someone Taric would struggle against. Especially once you add in her mobility and ability to harass you hard in lane before you get the items to potentially outscale her. Oh, and she can shoot a charm while your stun is travelling. Odds are once you press to stun you're going to be running towards her to get off the rest of your combo so she should be able to land that charm fairly reliably.

Asking both as an Ahri mid player who wants to know what to expect, and as an ex-Taric support who's enjoyed him in ARAMs and is now wondering if I should try him in other roles...
