4 Fucking Years And I Still Suck At This Game

After investing way too much time, money, passion and effort I'm still bad at this game. I'm probably not even average.

I do everything you could imagine to get better, playing on a regular basis, watching replays, trying my very hardest to cheer my team up when they're flaming each other again, calling shots, making builds and rune pages for hours on end. Yet I'm still this bad.

I just can't explain it. With basically having nothing irl that I'm really good at and all the investment in this game you'd think that I'm at least a little good, maybe diamond 5. But nope, just your average joe.

I don't really know why I'm writing this. Probably just hoping for one of you guys to knowing some kind magical trick to get me out of this shit even though no one really has any reason to care about it at all. Whatevs.

I mean you're P4 right now (admittedly in EUW), so that's top 6%. That's the same as saying making 160K USD is low income (it isn't). Maybe it's related to mentality or your take on the game, but just know that you're actually pretty good relative to the general playerbase so keep your head up dude.

I hate to rain on your parade but, we can't all be pro players, we can't all be great players, we can't all even be average players.

Lets look at this from a different perspective.

Some people love basketball, they play basketball everyday in their spare time, they watch NBA teams play when they can, they memorize all kinds of plays and strategy, they are a basketball fan and player for 10 years, but even with all that, they will never be anything more than a guy who plays basketball in the park after work everyday.... Not good enough for a pro team, not even good enough to make a college team cut.

But that doesn't mean he can't enjoy it, that he can't have fun in a match against similarly skilled players, or have a blast watching tournaments on TV. Some of us have to be average or below by nature. But we can still be happy.

All that aside, good luck and have fun at the game :)

I'm no saint when It comes to League. The highest I've been in my 3 1/2 years of this game is Diamond 5, but a key strat in getting there, is to literally ONLY focus on improving. Don't focus on winning/losing, gaining/decling in lp. Your sole purpose to improve and improve you will. By focusing on improving you eliminate the factor of winning. You will still win and lose, but if you are improving on your mistakes you will climb without realizing it. I hope you understand what I'm saying and I hope it helps. See you on the Rift! :)
