any artists here?

think I want to pick up doodling as a hobby since I've been taking some art history classes, would anyone here have any tips for me or just want to show off their stuff?

looking to do paper drawings because i'm p. much penniless atm, and bad with a mouse. what supplies would be good to start off with, pencils, inks, etc
