not quite performance-based LP gain, but a happy compromise between the current system and an ideal performance-based system

Impossible unless you also take away 5 LP from your enemies as LP is a closed system.
this is a bad idea for several reasons
- incentivizes people to KS/tax lanes when its bad for the team just to increase their own rating and punishes sacrificing yourself as a support/tank to win team-fights.
2)the elo system is a zero sum system. You cant give someone more elo/mmr without taking it away from someone. Giving a bonus for any reason (afk/s ect) will cause drift since more elo is generated than lost and eventually everyone will steadily climb just from the fact that every game played will increase the total mmr of the pool.
