When does preseason end?
I find it pointless to play when ranked doesnt even matter.

Probably mid-late January (last season started on Jan. 21st). Your ranked games still count during the preseason though. Your MMR moves around as usual, and will affect your 2016 placement.
Its a good time to get a feel for next season and try to better yourself bu improving some of your weak spots.
Like im working on my map awareness more. You can never seem to have too much of that.
there is a point in playing ranked. your MMR is still affected. you'll get placed higher after placements if you get your MMR up now. You can also use this time to get a feel for the meta and game state instead of sitting here.
