When can we have actual majority rule for surrender vote?

It pretty much sucks to be stuck in a game because you have a duo on your team that doesn't want to give up. Even if the enemy team are fully fed on their Yasuo, Trist, Viktor, Olaf, you name it while your team is just behind by probably 10k-15k gold by the mid game. Shitty games happen. No sane person wants to stay around in a lost game where the enemy team just toys with you. Three out of FIVE people want it to be over, but because the duo doesn't want it to, we're all stuck in a game we don't want in.

Why is it still this way? Is there some actual logical explanation? Or is it just this way just because?

if the surrender mechanics bother you, get better at the game so you don't have to surrender so often

Nah I feel you, I like my games quick. I'd rather forfeit a potential win at 20 minutes than play to a potential win at 50, especially when at that point it's just a silly mistake caused by fatigue. Call my a sore winner but I wouldn't call three dc's or a silly throw a win in my book.

What sucks even harder is when you get demoted into Bronze twice in the same season due to 30 matches in a row of your whole entire team four-man-surrender-voting against you even if you had a 10/1 KDA during several of those matches... (whilst the rest of your team went 0/15 in every single lane including the jungler)

Why do you people keep blaming duos on 2 people not surrendering? You know that's statistically improbable, right? 3:2 votes are far more common than there are duos.

And it's called a "super majority" when it requires more than just 51% of votes (simple majority). 3:2 votes are just too common; It would really suck for 3 people to force 2 others to lose just because they have 1 more person.
