I'v noticed a huge trend.

I will see someone who plays incredibly terribly in one of my games. I'll look them up on lol king, notice that they were bouncing up and down in bronze for 90% of the season then all the sudden between july 15 and august 1st they went from a bronze 3 mmr to a silver 2 mmr. Oh and when I look at their match history I see the same bob, jim and dylan on their team every game. Wow.

Its odd how giving players the easiest way to boost ever would make people boost their friends. Wow just wow.

Guess I better get my diamond friends to hope on their smurfs and boost me to high plat.

Oh yeah the amount of boosted/boosting players is unreal rofl That also brings out alot of trolling players. Kid in my last game inted cuz he lost 1v1 and wasnt with his trio. Quality game quality devs quality community!

I cannot tell you how much I agree with the "Trolling players." 90% of the time someone on my team gives up at 5 minutes in. "Enemy team got first blood, game is over. Enemy laner has 2 more CS than me, game is over."

I never supported dynamic queue.

People were supporting the new champ select, not Dynamic Queue.

There are, sadly, people who know what Dynamic Queue is AND support it. Though they don't really argue a case. They usually just insult you with really bad grammar and spelling while throwing around the words "statistics" and "majority".

UrPalAl2 votes

Oh, I support Dynamic queue. Why? Well because I've had no problems climbing as a solo player. I went from Bronze to Plat essentially this season, all solo. I looked at the data, premades have a .2% higher chance of winning, I think I can let that slide if it means my friends and other people can play with each other like they like to. Can it be annoying? Yeah, it can be, but the vastajority if then time it's fine. Also, the new ranked system Riot is introducing next year is great and makes DQ'ers look like boosted animals, honestly, I expect to see the number of DQ'ers drop drastically. Some of my friends stopped playing together so much just because of the ranked badge, so a boosted title would probably do even more.

Wait, what new system? Link?

Well, in our defense, 90% of arguments I see against solo queue involve someone saying the information riot releases is biased while using at max 1 example to attempt to disprove it.

"there are people who get boosted by dynamic queue"

"there are people who like dynamic queue"

huh. I wonder if that is connected in any way.

Might as well abuse it while it lasts. Rank doesn't represent anything anymore. Bronze-diamond is basically the same skill now.

Genuwhine369 votes

basically a coin flip. I played solo way earlier this year had 70% win rate solo to d4. This season played with a friend after hardly playing then played solo got gold 2 with 10/20 games having a feeder/someone trying to lose or just someone boosted doing 10% contribution and no damage. Do I think im actually gold 2? clearly not when most games I go 13-1 or w/e. Is it bullshit that I need to put more time into it because they basically ruined the game? noo?

The games now more about how many people you que with and how many games you play.

Eunson1 votes

Score doesn't mean you're good at the game. Need to focus the objectives at the right time. Getting a nice KDA is ez pz

BakeRoIIs3 votes

problem is that a good player playing solo with four randoms on their team cant do much in regard to securing objectives if the enemy team is in a party communicating over skype, even if they actually are worse players individually.

Leonerdo3 votes

Personally, I haven't noticed anything like this. But the fact that so many others have this kinda of experience keeps me suspicious. Wish someone actually had hard data on any of this. Until then, I remain unconvinced either way. Upvoted cause this needs more attention.

Hydroxlic3 votes

no one can give "Hard Data" or even evidence since the boards don't allow you to post something if it shows someones summoner name, so for all anyone on the boards would know, it could just be a coincidence that that person had a braum in every game when it was the same person every time.

Leonerdo2 votes

I mean statistical data

Hydroxlic1 votes

in either account its still a process that I doubt they want to go through, since there's legit parties that play to win, or there's people boosting, there's no definite way for them to absolutely tell the difference since they could be boosting on smurfs that are in the same division so it will just look like a normal party.

Leonerdo1 votes

True it might be harder than it's worth. But I'd accept a simple analysis of "If you win 75% or more of your first 50 ranked games, you are a smurf, or at least you have the same effect as a smurf." I'm not looking for super precise numbers anyways. But it would be helpful for the discussion if we knew whether the number of smurfs was closer to 1% or 0.01% of ranked players.

lolwut. You can see match history and see names. dont be so dense.

Hydroxlic3 votes

so your telling me that your going to go through every single person's match history to find matches that were done with people with the same name. Since for it to be as accurate as he is trying to state, that's still a considerable number of people you have to go through.

Troll for Trump3 votes

Love it when douches say the way to deal with DynaQ is "get friends". So just abuse and Ron the system even more?

I WILL TROLL YOU3 votes

Playing with people you like and communicating is cheating. Real skill is playing with random people and hoping they don't feed , afk or rage quit. I'm tired of all of these cheaters playing with teams on a team game. It's about time riot did something about this. Enough is enough RIOT we want to play alone in our parents basement forever !

Why the fuck is the one season I actually climb solo to high gold the same season everybody thinks ranked is a joke.

Rımuru Tempest4 votes

bc ranked is a simple joke (specially in Season 6) get ya high-tiered elo Friends in and get boosted. Then if the person plays ranked he feeds the shet out of their lovely Yasuo (or any other top tier champions that have been kept open) and u loose the game. Maybe it was your promo, or close to it? if it happens sometime i think its ok if its ~30-40% of the games then its probably not.

Dealth4 votes

The only reason people say "ranked is a joke" is because they aren't good enough to climb so they blame the system. The actual number of people boosting is very, very small. Ranked certainly still has a meaning as long as you are climbing legitimately.

Mr Fidori4 votes

You probably continued to focus on playing the game well rather than finding a new way to blame everyone besides yourself. Congrats on climbing!

And then they sink all the way down, only to get boosted again.

My friend actually got a warning for account sharing once and she didn't even tell anybody, but that was after like 3-4 people had been on her account from different IP's in the span of like 2 weeks so yeah pretty obvious there. I don't know how Riot determine when someone is account sharing or not but it seems like it could really use an improvement, I know a lot of people who have account shared but never got caught. The thing is it could be hard to tell as it could be someone who just moved or got a new pc or is playing at a friends house.

Buff Jhin1 votes

but it's 50% winrate for each!1111!!!!!!!1 there's nuttin wrong with dynamic q!!1

Hammermancer1 votes

here's a suggestion, lower your LP gain by 50% when playing with someone over 5 divisions above you, then lower that total by 50% (so 25% total lp)when playing with someone 10 or more above you, then lower that again by 50% for the next hop

so a bronze5being boosted by a gold5 is 25% efficiency, plat would be 12.5%, daimond would be 6.25%, challenger 3.125 master 1.5ish (Fuck that math)

So essentially you'd be getting 1lp per game with anyone 3 tiers, and 2 lp for anyone 2 tiers or up.

Phelas1 votes

But Bronzes can only queue up with silvers, silvers only with bronzies and goldies, goldies, silver and platin dudes. You get the idea?

Usernamehere12351 votes

I'd certainly argue that the boosting phenomenon is most common in the lowest tiers of play. In bronze or silver, it's very easy to snowball and carry your friend(s), even if they throw hard. Whereas in gold+, it becomes significantly harder to solo carry games. I've always been a supporter of dynamic queue because I believe it makes a fundamental change which focuses League of Legends more on teamwork than anything else. I also believe that dynamic queue has pushed Riot to suggest that they are going to release a voice chat into the game, what with teamwork and everything. However, there certainly are problems, and this is one of them.

Poor Bob, Jim and Dylan. Playing with every boosted animal would mean they're forced to play 24/7. Not even time for sleep.

rtbf2256182411 votes

This may work in the lowest of elos but from personal expierence, if you start literally flying up in win/loss ratios, you'll get matched with other smurfs or just players that are high above you. For example, i won 7 games in a row playing solo, the system thought i was smurfing (which i was) and matched me with mid-Platinum players whilst i was Gold IV on that account.

Arthimetes1 votes

Riot will never admit that DQ is killing this game, ever since it came out theres been a DRASTIC increase in "I just don't have fun anymore" and "ranked means nothing now" posts.

And I'll say something that im sure is gonna get me downvoted, but I got my main account permabanned shortly after DQ came out. I had been toxic before, I won't deny, but I had reformed by every standard, I was earning loot again which Riot claims your account has to be reformed in order to, I was getting nonstop honors and friend requests, and I was actually enjoying league again.

Then came Dynamic Queue with all the toxic premades that were telling me to kill myself, drink bleach, die of cancer, etc. And I get permabanned, past any other form of punishment, completely out of the blue because these toxic premades trolled me and refused to ever help me because I wasn't part of the premade and I would call them out on it. Sure I wasn't nice about it, but I never even threw insults and yet I got permabanned and the premades telling me to commit suicide got of scott free.

Ever since Dynamic Queue came out, I honestly don't have fun in League anymore, and I can't even bring myself to play ranked.

Dukues1 votes

I don't know what to believe anymore. I do believe there are boosted players and think it is probably worse the higher rank you get. But at the same time I have hardly noticed while ranking up 3 accounts this season. Granted, I am only gold.

One of my last games on my alt I was playing adc MissFortune. I had just gotten gold on the account so I was literally gold 5 0 lp. I noticed at the loading screen I had 3 teammates with platinum borders, which kind of freaked me out for a second. Looked up stats and saw 2 of them were plat and the 3rd was currently gold 1. The enemy team had 2 plat players and the rest were low gold with 1 silver 1.

We ended up winning and I played pretty well and had good stats despite a few mistakes. The enemy at one point did say they were a 5 man team, but I just thought they were bsing. But looking back my team did have higher ranking players. So if it was true and they were a 5v5 it is seen as unfair as we were solos, but we on average were a little higher rank and ended up winning. Generally the 5 team will win and should and should not be matched vs solos, but I did not really notice until the enemy said something.

Again, maybe the 1 enemy player was trolling and they really were solos. All I know is I have not noticed all these "boosted" players everyone complaining about. Maybe I have just not played enough games in gold yet or am not a high enough rank, which I understand could definitely be part of it. I do wish Riot would fix ranked for season 7 so ranked integrity is back, but I also wish people would stop saying ranks are completely meaningless and that diamond - bronze is the exact same thing. That sounds a little too ridiculous.

As someone who has bounced back and forth between Silver and Bronze a few times this season and rarely played with others in premade (definitely not boosted), I guess I break your "trend". IMO, the real issue is that the win/loss streaks can be brutal in the Bronze to Silver ELO. The wins are often games that I didn't need to do much in. The losses are often out of my control. I have an another account sitting comfortably in Silver II that doesn't have this issue. Same story: I play solo, rarely premade, but I don't get the huge swings of the slightly lower Bronze-Silver ELO barrier. When you say players are getting boosted to Silver II, the reality is that the climb to Gold is the easiest climb of any of the tier climbs, but the climb to Silver is the hardest of any of the tier climbs. This has nothing to do with premades and was just as true last season in solo queue when I experienced the same thing: two accounts, one struck bouncing back and forth in Bronze, the other sitting comfortably in Silver.

You are entitled to your opinion, but I would like to suggest that people pushing for solo queue stop blaming everything that happens in the game (that they don't like) on dynamic queue. There are other effects in the game that influence ranking besides premades.
