Suggestion: Seperate Queues for Surrender'rs and Non-Surrender'rs, Normals
I'm sure everyone on League has felt annoyed by other players either surrendering or not surrendering- there is plenty of stuff on the old boards bout that.
Some players feel like their time is being wasted because they aren't winning and they only have fun playing league when winning/only point to play is to win, and are very frustrated by people who are invested in playing it out to the end. Thusly- discontent and resentment of people who refuse to surrender.
Some players (myself included) feel that games should be played out to the end because they like playing the game even when they aren't winning, and they learn from losing games how to turn it around next time (or have fun with it), and also feel that those who force a surrender are wasting their time because they don't have so much time to requeue for another game, and they just turned the last game they could play into a surrendered one, ruining their personal enjoyment of it. (I personally feel that the only reason acceptable to surrender is that someone has a real life thing to get to. But this is not the point of the thread and I do not mean to cause offense.) Thusly- discontent and resentment of people who surrender.
*resentment value and lasting time based on the personality of the player.
I don't think it's fair to blame the surrenderers because it's just their mode of thinking, regardless if non-surrenders feel that yes, when I have to play with them "it's kinda negative and wimpy and ruins my personal enjoyment of the game and frustrating", and I don't think it's fair to blame the non-surrenderers because it's just their mode of thinking, regardless if surrenderers feel that yes, when they have to play with them "it's kinda wasting my time and frustrating." I think both ways of playing are valid and ordinary ways of playing League of Legends, but it is inevitable that when a diehard non-surrender plays with diehard surrenderers or vice versa, there will be discontent and less enjoyment of the game because of frustration of these two modes of thought. (4 surrenders, 1 non = the non winds up being disgusted with their team) (3 non surrenders, 2 surrenders = the 2 surrenders are done with this game, and can lead to someone being disgusted with their team and ragequitting, which happened a few times in my experience)
Thus, I have a suggestion to Riot: (for Normals) if you had one queue just for people who will not surrender under any circumstances (except real life personal stuff) and one queue for people who will surrender if they are losing, the overall happiness of everyone would increase and overall saltiness will decrease.
To elaborate: It would work best if there was- one queue for people who will not surrender except for real life circumstances, and one queue where people can do whichever. Some of my friends are surrenderers and I do enjoy playing with them even if they do surrender, but surrendered games can really destroy my mood on normals when I'm playing with strangers- the negativity is really not pleasant to play with. (there, I'm being bias but XD) If we can choose I feel like it would make for a better league experience and people wouldn't be as frustrated with each other!
What do other players think about this suggestion of two separate queues? Good, bad, have any better ideas?
