Seraphs, RoA, Boots, Frozen Heart, Abbysal Mask, then either Hextech GLP, Void Staff, Zhonyas, Banshee's Veil, Liandrys, Righteous Glory, or Rylais.
I feel like this would make you a spell casting bruiser, it'd probably be a awful build I know but I think it'd be fun to try, what are your guys thoughts, I'd go into more details as to why I like the idea but I'm at work and such in my phone.

Mask probably for that 10% extra magic damage & some mix of HP & MR. Could be a good defensive build, but just quite unorthodox.

GLP is the other one, you're thinking of Protobelt. GLP gives HP, Mana, and AP, plus the active to slow and do a bit more damage.
MrHaZeYo1 votesRoA, is just a core item on Ryze as it gives 2 stats he loves (AP/Mana) and a stat he enjoys (HP).
Mask gives HP, Mana, and MR, + The +10% Magical Damage buff.
GLP, same has RoA, HP, AP, and Mana, with a extra spell that slows and would do some damage.

So the Eternity is only worth ~80 gold.
Losing out on 80 gold for this build (Or 160 if I went GLP last item) really doesn't hinder me at all seeing how I value all 3 of those stats more then 80 gold, so the item slot efficient is well worth the loss.

Birbonius1 votesBut you're wasting a lot of gold on 3 Eon Ametys items,unless you're team really needs an hp tank,it isn't worth in my opinion doing it,and in that case you can still go for pure tank items,since if your team needs a tank it means you alrready have enough damage that mana isn't crucial for the overall team damage.
If you wanna do it for funziez, Lich Bane gives mana too
MrHaZeYo1 votesFor starters, 3 if I went GLP, I never said that was my final item. The items though themselves is pretty cost effect for Ryze.I just think it'd be fun to do lol. You wouldn't be like super tanky but you wouldn't blow over like paper either and you'd still do a good amount of damage.
