Why do people troll or lose on purpose?

Are there any psychiatrists out there who would be able to explain to me why someone feels the need to ruin other peoples fun? like nobody wants to lose except for these people who lose on purpose for some reason. Is it cause their daddies diddled them as children so they have some anger deep inside them that they have to take out on us?

It's either a power trip or seeking vengeance, and the motivation differs by troll.

Those who troll practically every game do it for power. Usually, they are peons in whatever job they have. They have to take all kinds of abuse at work from customers or bosses or coworkers, and they can't do anything about it because they're expendable and will just be fired. They started playing League to escape, but winning requires all five teammates to be good. You can't win League by yourself. But you can lose League by yourself. So they started intentionally feeding and trolling, because it's one aspect of the world where they're in complete control and nobody can stop them. When everyone's getting mad and raging at them, it shows them that they have control.

Those who only troll when something doesn't go their way can be anywhere from justified to spoiled. It's justified when it's not too late for the person causing things to go awry to change it.

For example, if I take Lux support as first pick and communicate that I'm support, and fourth pick takes Sona support, they screwed the team over. I have to go top lane and now we have no tank. The proper pick would have been a Malph or Shyvana or Mundo or something like that top lane, but it's too late once they've locked in. No amount of trolling can make Sona change her champion pick once the game's already started. So trolling at that point is just childish.

But if I'm ADC, and the allied jungler keeps farming bot lane minions instead of farming the jungle or ganking lanes, I can be justified. This is because at any time, the jungler can leave bot lane and go farm the jungle, and if they do, the feeding stops. So if I turret dive 1v2 and intentionally die, then say "I'm suiciding every respawn until you leave bot lane", it's a way of forcing them out of your lane. Junglers can intentionally feed lanes if the laners keep taking their camps. If one laner refuses to play his own lane and stays in yours instead, you can feed someone a couple kills and threaten the team with feeding to make them stop. If it's someone who does want to win, they'll stop just so you don't feed and ensure the game's a loss.

To make people angry. I know a 20 something that plays battlefield. And all he does is team kill. EVERY. SINGLE. GAME.
