Could punishments for leaving ARAM lobby be harder?

I like to play ARAM when I want just a quick relieve of work and school while I don't have much time. It's quick it's fun and you learn to use new champions.

Now what is really very frustrating are the players that leave the game lobby because they've got a champion they didn't want. I struggle to figure out why do they play random game then.

In average, I get to play after 2 times lobby is dismatched by one of the summoners. Maybe add some scary warnings about this at least.

Please, add longer character limit for poll questions. This is just retarded.

Is contemporary world limited to short sentences? Don't people read any more?

its not just rerolls. They also get lobby join timers that scale with more dodges.

If you leave an ARAM match, u get a 30min wait timer.....That's pretty damn hard enough if u ask me. That timer makes it so I don't leave. There should never be a scary warning for leaving a pretty much just for fun game mode, in champ select. Plus what about those trolls? I see a troll talking crazy in champ select, maybe I wanna leave. I should not be punished for wanting to stay away from a troll. The 30min timer is more then enough.

I don't even get ppl leaving that much in champ select, 90% of the time for ARAM I get right in first Q, no one leaves. Most the time for me.

I never left it, so I didn't know. It seems though, that it's still worth it for some guys :(

For those ppl that leave tho, they can't play for 30mins, you should feel satisfied from that I would think? You get 2 play, and they don't for 30mins xD

Little side note tho, I have gotten champs in ARAM that I just plan SUCK with but, still stick it out, and enter the match. Then tho I get ppl bitching at me left, and right if I do a little bad. So I can understand some1 wanting to leave if they get a champ they just don't like, or play well with. Even tho they know they enter a mode with a random champ select. I do get your point tho.

When are you getting 30 min wait timers? ive left an aram once before because my team was all fighting in champ select and i didnt want to deal with it i had a 5 min wait... its a 5 min wait the first time then a 15 min wait just like leaving a normal game

Really? idk dude, i'm telling u tho, I had a 30 min wait time once b4. Maybe I left a few in a row, and forgot not sure but, I remember like just a month ago I had a 30min wait time for leaving an ARAM.

Being as I have never played Darius before, and in general do much, much more poorly with melee bruisers in general, I had the following experience last time he was free:

I GOT Darius . No one wanted to trade. I rolled Aatrox (same situation) I rolled Darius I rage quit. (Why would i play a champ I know i suck with at the cost of both rerolls? There was 8 other champions in my list to choose from, all of witch I would be okay with. That 20% bad-pick hit me 3 times in a row. Rerolls don't work right. You should never get the same chamion from a reroll. So I was rightly justified in leaving that time.

Usually though, I wont leave. The main reason leaving that time was the 2-reroll investment that I would lose (basically dooming me to 2 more bad-champ games).

Because that is how ARAM works, that's why. You're never justified in dodging an ARAM game just so you can feel better about your particular champion when there are nine other people in that game who want to play, not sit in queue. Dodging an ARAM, Dominion, or Normal is just plain rude, you aren't preserving your MMR and you aren't saving LP. The only time I would say that the dodging is really appropriate is if you have a group of people (not one) being extremely racist, homophobic, or sexist in the pre-game lobby.

Its not "just plain rude" and there is always a reasonable justification. Do you like playing with feeders on your team? How about racists or homophobics? I don't mind them at all. I wouldn't leave just because some one is scared of gays. But if I foresee the game not being fun, why should I invest 30min of my time into it? I wouldn't enjoy it, and my teammates would hate me for it.

Bottom line, if you don't think something is worth your time. You do something else (for lets say, 5min + the 3min to actually start)

It is rude, you are forcing someone else who wants to play the game to not be able to play, just because you want don't want to play a melee champ in ARAM. That's inconsiderate, and dodging because of the champion you get defeats the entire purpose of playing the ARAM game type. If can't understand something as simple as that, then I hope I never have to end up in a lobby with you.

Playing with feeders or poland players that don't speak english is just a part of the game. It's not all about clicking around and pressing Q, W, E and R like many young players seem to think.

It's more about cooperating with peaple, that you don't know - any people.

And I can very well imagine you calling me a feeder and ragequitting a game just because I do poorly in many aspects of the game. But I still have a teamwork badge - and this may only be for not ragequitting and not cursting at others.

In other words what you are trying to say is "I am scared of new things, and do not understand the definition of the word random. I want to pick my champ, if only there was a game mode that let me do that."

Good news my friend, there are a few game modes that let you pick your champ. Perhaps ARAM isn't for you, instead of ruining it for the people who like playing random champs, maybe play a different game mode.
