Why is today so toxic?

For the past three games today, I have encountered either one or more toxic players on both the enemy side and my side. The toxicity ranged from flaming a player for a mistake or miscall, flaming a team, negative insight, threatening to disconnect, and threats to feed.

Whatever happened to constructive criticism and positive thinking? Has the NA community gone a-wall FUBAR toxic or is it just that time of day?
