It took about 350 ranked games and many tears but I did it. Wow that feels good. I know silver 5 is still bad but that climb took so long it just feels good.

Manwalrus3 votesI was Silver 4 last season, went 3/7 in my provisionals and got knocked down to Bronze 5. I made it back to silver in 120 games playing mostly Diana mid, Volibear top and Jungle, not really much ADC and Leona support. Leona is more or less my main because not many people are willing to support and Leona is super strong. So yes, I made it from Bronze 5 to Silver 5 maining support, it is possible people. I am now in Silver 3 and climbing happily. Just stay positive, don't give up, don't flame, and play multiple roles well (Fiora/Riven/Yi/Kat instalockers I'm looking at you) Everyone can get better and go from the depths of bronze to mid/high silver relatively fast if they do it right and are confident in their own skill. I plan on getting to Gold and leaving bronze far behind.

By the time you realize your team sucks so bad and you probably better try to carry it's usually too late. B2 currently, started in b5 this season. I been playin a lot of mao support and morgana, but I pretty much do decent when I play most supports. Its just so hard to secure objectives as a support when your team is falling apart. And no one EVER wants to listen to the support about anything.

I got placed in bronze 4 but after play five games I knew I didn't belong there and just destroyed everything without stopping until b2 promos. I swear I was in promos to b2 forever, I counted it to be 11 trys. Well anyways I made it to b2 and I'm not planning on playing as much ranked now until maybe I get bored of summer vacation. I just need to get silver and I'm done for the season goal.

T RexHasTinyArms1 votesI heard high gold is nice bc it has a large portion of the players really trying to work together to get to plat and struggling to do it all solo, and so they are kinda forced to band together and be more team oriented. Same guy said that plat is the absolute worst because it's all the players who are just really good and have awesome mechanics so they carry hard in games and got past gold, but they don't have the team work to get to diamond. They're so used to being able to carry games on mechanics, that when they are against people w/ equal mechanics they just get frustrated and rage rather than working with the team as much as a lot of gold and diamond players do (obviously that's not all of plat, but he said plat has the highest percent of players w/ this issue).
My experience is that low gold can be good, but also can be complete shit because you end up w/people who are suddenly conceited because they got out of silver and have end of season rewards, or they just don't really care about climbing past gold 5 because they have end of season rewards at their current level.
Aboylova921 votesIn all honesty, I've found it easier in Silver. While some of the mechanics might be there in low Gold, the decision making just isn't. Oh hey let's all chase the Fizz while we leave the jungler to defend against 4 taking the inhib turret, then get angry when he fails to do so. I see people chase quite often for little to no reason, losing objectives in the process. Then again, the lower levels of any division tend to be the worst from what I've found.
It's a milestone that you should be happy that you hit, but don't expect the players to get better all the sudden, as they just aren't.

The best part is that it's summer, you have so much free time that you even have a chance of aiming for gold if you are good enough. Mostly because mao jungle gets better as your teammates get better.

Nope, Silver IV. I didnt see the point in really playing 4 to 5 ranked games in one day. Just stuck to one of two a day.
