It's only a game, it's only normals.
Lately I have been playing some normal draft mode because I find ranked overly annoying and I don't have the time to devote to raising my rank because of RL commitments. So instead I choose to play a slightly less competitive but still noteworthy game mode, similar to ranked without the strain of being openly rated. There is this rash of mentality in a competitive game like league, in draft normals a mode meant to simulate actual competitive games for practice purposes, of plays excusing their extremely poor play and intentional feeding with one of two lines. "God why you complain, it's only a game!" or "It's normals, why you tryhard?". It completely boggles my mind how players think this should excuse the way they play that creates a negative experience for the rest of the players. What to try out some fun games? Que with friends or play blind. Those both offer the same experience without you creating a toxic environment from intentionally poor gameplay. And if you are just making lots of mistakes because of a lower skill level or a lack of understanding, then why not accept the advice of others? I think poor play and a refusal to work with a team while using such excuses should be the real toxic part of this game.
