Can you explain something to me Riot?

What was going on in the meeting about where the server for NA would be located? Was it something like this? "Lets put the server on one of the coasts. That would make sense. Hey how about the West Coast! Brilliant Jimmy!" Why is it that the server is on the west coast? The west coast's population that plays league isn't even half of what it is on the East Coast. I mean come on. I understand that's where you put it when you first started league and all. You had to start somewhere. But it's been many years. It's time to move the server or gives us one here on the East Coast.
