I'm bad with mechanics, I can't play most champions due to lack of practice and my elo isn't high.

BUT

I make good calls, I understand the strength and weaknesses of champions and comps, I know how to counter-build and where to go. I have a great theoretical knowledge of the game.

But since I'm not really good at any role but support, if I happen to do bad, no one listens to my call nor takes my advice. Why? Because my score is bad and people don't care what I have to say because "you're a fucking bronzie". I'm tired of this mentality...

People need to realize that strategy and tactics are not related to skill, otherwise, no LCS team would need coaches.

Hai is the perfect example, mechanically weak he makes calls like mad, but here's the thing.

Understanding the game and having good game sense CAN translate to getting better mechanically. You understand matchups, so you play around them. You know comps, so you can counter them.

Start playing mid or jungle, the two roles that allow easier shotcalling. Allow your game sense to enhance your mechanics

There's a guy called YellOwStaR who fits this mold exactly. He's not mechanicly gifted but man can he call shots and keep his team focused. He also plays for the second strongest team in EU which is rapidly growing stronger. It's to bad more people won't listen to your strategic plays and calls! I hope this sheds a little more light on the matter

Skill is the amount of control an individual posesses in a situation. It isn't confined to certain situations.

The issue is more that people think someone with good mechanics is automatically good with strategy and thus listen to them over someone who is actually good with strategy but has poor mechanics. I've noticed this in my MOBA-playing history - In a group of randoms the team is more inclined to listen to the guy with the high score than the guy who's making the right calls because the score is the only quantitative thing they have to go on. I've dubbed it the Lemming Effect - If you're doing well individually your random teammates will be more inclined to follow you and group with you (whether you want them to or not). Whether you choose to lead them to victory or over a cliff is up to your own strategic abilities.

Also people need to understand that perfomance/kda in one game or the first few minutes of one game doesn't determine the skill of a player. If two people are in gold V with around 200 ranked games played, they are probably both around the same skill level. It doesn't matter if one is 10/0/0 this game the other is 0/5/0, they probably have about the same decision making unless the 0/5 player is tilted or the 10/0/0 player is overconfident.
