I tried ganking mid while brand was at turret. I ulted, spell shielded his stun then terrified and killed him. After the fire effect i came out with like 20 health. Later on i tried killing him again and he two shotted me.

Nothing you could have done, when your mid dies 7 times to the enemy mid (putting him about 3 levels higher than any people on your team) you're gonna have a bad time. Even if your other lanes had done much better than they did, once the bursty mid laners are fed it often sets the tone for the match seeing as they can then 2 shot people in the team fights (as you experienced first hand). Kinda feel like Xerath was a Trundle

He might have been. He was standing in turret and just let brand attack him then get executed. Later he followed brand into a bush with a little over 200 health.
