I just had this image of like Phreak sitting down for 5 interviews with higher-ups, and he's gotta prove he's worth a promotion 3 out of the 5 to get a raise lol
Course I mean all he'd have to do is threaten them with "Tons of Damage" and he'd get it, so maybe that's a bad example.

I would guess that promotions within most companies have a multi Tier interview process. At least this was true at the last 5 Companies I have worked for in the last 15 yrs. SO yes it is kinda like a promotion series. I do not however know if RIOT uses this method.
The analogy only works if in random interviews they'd release screaming gorillas into the interview room, and their actions counted against the interviewee.
