Quick tutorial on how to change Splash arts!
In this post I'll cover how you can change the splash art used in the client and loading screen (but not the in-game portraits!) without using a 3rd party app. If you are like me and many others and you don't like some of the new splash arts, or you just want to do your own crazy stuff with them, you are at the right place ;)
It is actually surprisingly simple: You must first go to your League of Legends folder (right-click the LoL icon on your desktop, and click "open file location") and then navigate to RADS > projects > lol_air_client > releases > (folder with highest number) > deploy > assets > images > champions
Now just find the splash you want to replace. Let's just pretend that I want to replace teemo's basic skin splash with this:
http://orig07.deviantart.net/d58e/f/2015/083/9/b/teemo__field_of_dreams_by_robynlauart-d8mxvc2.png
As you can see in the champion images folder by quickly searching "teemo", there are 5 images of his base skin: A square one, the full splash, a cropped version of the full splash, the loading splash and his portrait.
Now what you need to do is get the image you want and crop (make sure it's a .jpg) it so you have a replacement for each of these images. So I would make a small square with his head, a loading screen splash etc. Also make sure the images you created are the same dimensions as the original ones! Now you simply have to remove the original splashes from the client, and add the new ones in the folder giving them the name of the image you just replaced!!! This means that the square image I want to use for teemo's head will have to be named "Teemo_Square_0.png"
And that's it! You now have teemo's head on every champion you now have that amazing fanart of your main on your client and loading screen!
