Bad teams wouldn't be getting Baron unless their enemies screwed up (or were bad too).

you either didnt contest baron, or died in a team fight to a "bad team"

Bad teams win the teamfight but lose the baron.

Bad teams throw baron away.

Bad teams don't ward baron.

Good teams can be behind but still snag that baron when it matters most.
