I'm tired of the "who's the minority" issue that has been popping up, and I have a solution.

Riot needs to take things like this to the players in the client, with incentives. They need to have a pop-up that tells them if the player if they answer a few questions, and no matter how they answer, they will get, for example, one chest and key for free. The results of these questionnaires should then be published for public viewing. This will show clear statistics with the least bias possible.

They have had this done before(the pop-ups in client), but not with real incentives, and not for questions as sensitive as the DQ debate.

I like the idea, but they'd need to find a way to keep people from just making smurfs to tip the survey in their favor. Like a minimum number of DQ games played maybe?

Really the only problem I can see with this.

I like this idea. Sadly I think that Riot is too committed to just trying to improve the current system and aren't going to go for anything like this in case things don't go their way. They keep going back to statistics of how many people played on the new system versus the old system but all of those numbers are automatically inflated. They removed team builder and ranked teams, meaning that anyone who played mostly on those queue types would use DQ as the alternative, we get no information as to whether those people preferred it to the old system, nor do we know if the combined number of old draft+team builder+ranked teams players were less than DQ players, only that old draft is less. We also don't know if it was artificially inflated by the introduction of something new in general, and again don't know if those people preferred it. For all we know the number fell back to normal numbers after the initial few weeks, the overall number could just be due to all the people from different queue types being funneled into one, and hell a poll to every account that fits your suggested restrictions could show that the only reason they do play it is because riot didn't give them any alternative, or hell riot could just be fabrication the numbers just to try to get public opinion behind them. The point is we don't know the actual data or reasons, and unless they do something like this we won't be able to find out.
