This is what separates good companies from shit companies.

When things go to hell (like now), were a company knows it messed up bad, with champions, the jungle, items, etc. You shouldn't be completely quite.

All the complaint threads about Kassadins Nerfs, Veiger changes, and Jungle changes and I haven't seen riot comment ONCE, not ONCE. Yet today I saw a thread about someone saying that it was his birthday and he wishes us a great day and some riot member said something or whatever. Now it's not bad that riot responded to this, but can they get some priorities in place? Can they try to tell people what they plan to do? Is it to hard for someone to say "We will add compensation buffs to Kassadin" or "Next patch were gonna see some Lee Sin nerfs".

Riot. It's your fault for being so incompetent that the forums is so full of these threads and your silence only makes it worse.

Get your shit together, I'm actually considering Dota 2.

This is how you can tell the entitled shit community members from the good ones. Good community members know that riot is a company that tries their hardest to make the game the best it can be. Why? Because that will make them money. Good community members make responses and know that while Riot values their feedback, they won't always agree. Good community members know that in the end they cannot always get what they want and in the end we will all adjust to the changes.

Bad community members cry and rage and blame the company for things not going the way they want, they think that because they are part of the yelling screaming minority their opinion matters more because more people see it (See: Westboro Baptist Church).

Sometimes a nerf is just a nerf, sometimes a champion gets nerfed to be healthier in the long run or add counterplay where there was none before (See Kassadin range changes and Veigars stun change) and while you may not like it, the best you can do is provide your feedback with your own reasoning rather than crying about it. You are not entitled to any form of compensation, you are not entitled to have a rioter respond to every post you make and thinking otherwise is incredibly dumb of you, if you payed any attention at all to the websites that keep track of Rioter conversation (Namely: http://www.surrenderat20.net/ ) you would know that Riot does provide feedback and discuss this stuff on the forums, just because you do not see it on the front page doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

EDIT: You are right, it feels better to get it all out.

It does doesn't it.

I disagree, we pay for there company to continue functioning. It runs off the communities wallet, therefore we should have some say in what happens.

Not some "Sorry guys Veigar changes are LOCKED they won't be changed"

While other champs run wild and destroy everyone and everything

P.S. I'm not ranting about Riots complete incompetent balance team (If I was i would need way more time to write it all down) I'm talking about the fact that they barely communicate on the boards with people who simply ask where is the logic behind all these changes, not some Bs answer btw, real answers.

Edit: btw your the minority, 90% of people dislike the kassadin and Veigar changes, just though I should tell you that.

Food for thought, while you say these changes are hated by 90% of the community, you have absolutely zero ability to back up that claim. Not only that, but something I am sure you didn't even consider is the people who don't have any problems with this change aren't talking about it. They don't care or have any complaints about it so they have no reason to jump on the threads to argue with the same 30 people complaining about it all the time. All the people who are going to gather in those threads are either like minded individuals or people whose opinion differs so it will be downvoted 30 times by the yellers.

Veigars stun has always been absolutely ridiculous in terms of power. It functions like a j4 ult with a much shorter cooldown and is an all around better version of Thresh's ultimate. Forcing the enemy to either stay within it or be stunned and having the potential to lock down an entire enemy team is simply too much power for an instant cast ability with a low cooldown. If you want Veigar to have an instant stun then here's a suggestion, make it a single pillar that rises out of the ground (similar to trundle) if it connects with an enemy it stuns them, boom: single target nuke capability restored and easily avoidable by the rest of the team.

There is evidence, you need only look at the boards to see.

Edit: if anyone speaks on the forums, it's simply meddler, among riot members he is probably one of the most spoken.

HOWEVER, his reasons are incorrect, they removed DFG and it should have come with compensation buffs. If they nerfed only his E it would be fine but they also nerfed his ultimate.

Wait a second, why do so many people pick on this statement.

  • Veigar has an ultimate on his E, 90% of the community agreed on this (for the years before DFG removal at least)
  • Riot feels that since they need to do something for Veigar to make up for DFG removal, they might as well address this troublesome skill that is keeping him from being allowed to be viable in Riot's game philosophy
  • Riot puts out changes, and feels that it is adequate to make up for E nerf
  • Community disagrees, VEHEMENTLY
  • Riot says "hmm, we shall see, why not try it out first and then we will find out the best way to buff him after that"
  • Community goes WTF WHY YOU DON'T LISTEN TO US AND REVERT CHANGES (while ironically not listening to Riot's explanation on why he has to be changed in the first place)

He says they are locked for the upcoming patch, not till the end of time, sheesh.

Sorry if you didn't understand it, however I was referring to a time where they nerfed lee sin (GASP) yes, yes they did.

However a small amount of lee sin mains complained and ranted 24/7, and they immediate changed the nerfs, and there excuse was the communities backlash. However now they received even bigger backlash for the veigar nerfs and they said they wouldn't change the nerfs.

Not even close to the same level of backlash for the lee nerfs, lee players whined and bitched constantly 24/7, this is a small community of people trying to justify an ultimate on his E.

To an extent and I can agree with you. While they claim that they read most of things on here to me at least from what I've seen in my time not only with the game but forum as well it's just empty words. They can say they read things but nowadays I need evidence! We need proof that things are being done especially when said things that are suppose to change were from years ago!

Like you say though it's fine when they go on goofy post or wishing people happy birthday, getting a job, etc that's all great but it seems like that's the only thing they been posting on.

What they need to do is prioritize where the problem is coming from. Are people really upset about a champion being nerf, or is there something more to it? Don't get me wrong there will always be people who will be against everything they do, but I'm sure they can see when people have legitamate complaints about something and someone just hating just because!

I highly doubt Riot reads all the posts or even most of them. Then they recently posted (in the What champ do you want to see thread - Story/Art forum) that they can't read fan faction for legal reasons. People posted responses and questions about this, but Riot never responded. It makes one wonder - a lot.

With all the various QQ threads you can't expect Riot to comment on every single one, when they all say the same thing anyway. I would count the number of Angry about Veigar threads but I would like to do something else today. They aren't going to comment on upcoming changes because the last patch changes just came out TWO DAYS AGO!

Riot can respond to 'happy birthday' threads because its light PR, when they go to commenting on potential changes they paint themselves into a corner. Their way of saying whats going to happen next is through sites like surrender@20 and the PBE.
