So, Zed is allowed to be super strong not only because he makes super flashy plays (well, that is probably the only reason actually), but because he can easily be "countered" by buying a QSS you say. Well, weren't Fiddles and WW nerfed HEAVILY even though the reason they were nerfed could easily be countered buy buying a QSS?
Seems like someone has a double standard.
first of all what would you possible counter from fiddle with a qss when all his ablities are spammable and warwick could build tanky and still do insane damage
what does zed have to do? he has to pretty much build glass cannon
and that attack speed nerf does alot more than it sounds
Zed is not JUST countered by QSS. He can also be countered by flash, any movement ability, by any form of cc, by simply outplaying him(watching Vayne vs Zed duels can be very entertaining for this), by heals/shields, or by QSS or Hourglass.
Most of those options are are available even when alone. I've survived a duel with a Zed as Nami because I bubbled him before he could get any damage and then ran away, for example.
With a fidd... I couldn't do that. I'd die before the fear wore off unless I had cleanse/qss.
Zed's not 100% balanced, but his kit is REALLY well designed to allow the person you target to have options to react to it unless they've put themself in a position where those options are already exhausted.
I feel the nerf to WW is too much myself, but the AS nerf to Zed was perfect.
The problem with nerfs to WW and other full sustain champs is that either they can get enough HP/sec out of their kit to succeed, or they can't. Its a line with no clear definition. The problem I have with nerfing champs who focus on sustain at all is Grievous Wounds, but that is unrelated to this post.
Long story short, no double standard, completely different situations.
