@Riot The Decline button

Why is this even an option? Please remove it from the game. If someone is going to decline, they should never queue up to begin with. Nothing is more frustrating than waiting and having someone decline.

EDIT: Just wanted to add some clarity since this thread is apparently WAY over most people's heads.

The Decline button might as well be named the Troll button. If something comes up where you can't Q up, drop from the Q. Yes, sometimes things do come up. If they do, you drop yourself out of the queu, end of story.

This is such an easy concept to understand.

Because queues can be 20 minutes long, and sometimes something comes up by then. If things didn't come up or people didn't accidentally join the wrong queue etc. then they wouldn't decline; they obviously have reasons for doing it.

Then you simply do the polite thing and cancel your queue. That way other people don't have to get screwed over and wait even longer. It's not rocket science people.

If your queue pops before you realize you need to leave, then you don't have a choice. It's not rocket science.

Are you seriously imagining that every time someone declines, that they knew they wanted to leave queue but waited for the queue to pop?

99% of the time, yes, they knew there was a good possibility they may have to leave. In those cases, take care of your business first, then play.

Nobody said "emergency" dude. You don't need to have an emergency to change your mind.

And you just proved EXACTLY why they need to remove the Decline button. You shouldn't leave unless it is an emergency. If you change your mind, you hit the little X in the top center and drop out of the Q.

Like I said, if you think you may have to leave, don't play at all.

Not being able to leave a queue is the dumbest shit I've ever heard. It extends some of your games by a few seconds or a minute or two and you want to punish them. Seriously, you have to be extremely salty to defend this dumb idea.

Seriously? You can leave the queue at ANY time by hitting the X. That removes you from the Q with no penalty and it doesn't punish other players in the game. You are saying it's fine to screw over other players.

What I'm saying is that people aren't intentionally waiting for the queue to pop to leave, and it's not as big of a deal as you're making it out to be. This is tyrannical bullshit.

Also, you already do get a queue timer if you repeatedly do this.

It is a big deal if you have to wait an extra 5 minutes because of people hitting the Deny button. I would say 90% of the time I queue up, I have AT LEAST one deny before I can get into a game. There is no way in hell that many people are having emergencies.

Plus you don't get a q timer if you exit instead of denying.

lugg this will never be a thing you can complain about it as much as you want you just dont understand what happens if you are about to click the X to leave the que and it pops? then what you cant sit there and play a 50 min game and you dont want to lose lp or be reported

there is still the shot of it happening and its not that low of a shot it has happened to me many times so i just decline easy as that. What would you suggest we do if that happened to someone just let them go afk and take a ban?

i have had times when my que poped but i had to go do something so i decline think about it this way a challenger player could wait an 1h for one game and what happens if they have to do and bam suddenly their que pops do you just abandon the ranked match and lose lp? no you decline.

I'd worry more about people who leave the middle of the game than those who don't even enter one.

If someone is declining, they aren't entering the game. The decline option is specifically there to avoid people AFKing.

I'm saying that the people who decline games are of the same mentality of people who afk. They don't care about the other player's game experience.

No, there is something more frustrating, which would happen more frequently if there wasn't a decline button.

It's more frustrating when you go through all of draft pick, and the last person doesn't select a champion or someone dodges at that point.

You have completely missed the point of this thread. If they can decline, THEY WERE AT THE COMPUTER WHEN IT HAPPENED! So what was to keep them from just dropping the queue when something came up? The answer is NOTHING.

The decline button is simple another thing that allows trolls to ruin the game. To argue this point is simply ridiculous.

They were at their computer when the message came up, and it coincided with them realizing they couldn't play a game for the next 40 minutes.

Rather than waste 20+ minutes of your time on a useless game where they would have to AFK early (or potentially not even get through champion select), they did the responsible thing and clicked "Decline", inconveniencing you by 20 seconds.

What evidence do you have that it's trolls queuing and hitting decline over and over again? I thought the game prevented you from doing that.

So you are saying that until that very instant, they didn't know they couldn't play for 40 minutes? Yeah right.

Sometimes it's only 5 seconds, sometimes it can be minutes.

All I know is that 90% of the time I queu up, there is at least one decline. There is no way that many people are having emergencies. That's all the evidence I need to see.
