Thought that I would give HOTS a try for diversity sake

Wasn't entirely disappointed, but to me it just felt like a more COD version of League;

There are no items. There is no such thing as being fed. Last hitting anything doesn't matter at all, certain "champs" are far stronger than others. The game is incredibly snowbally which makes it very short. There is 0 point to not constantly be attacking or using an ability except for your ult. Which is why I think that HOTS will cater to a ton of people who just always love to be mashing buttons and killing things and always being in the action. But other than each of the maps minigame, which provide a rediculous buff to whichever team grabs the buff, there is almost no strategy beyond dodging skillshots, most of which have almost instant travel times.

I did like the multitude of maps and their own quirky minigames that they each had, but merc camps and each of the maps buffs are soooooooo ridiculously strong. Having seige giants would be like a team getting 2 baron'd up cannon minions at the 9 minute mark.

If your getting sick of League, go try it; but be aware that everything that matters to most people in this game doesn't mean anything there. IMO, it will attract a ton of bronze players like my 2 friends who despise the idea of last hitting in favor of constantly trying to all in the enemy laner. But 95% of the higher elos will not like HOTS because everything in it is so ridiculously simplified.

Nice, seems like it'd be fun for a game or two really quickly just to pass time when you dont feel like thinking in league.

Out of curiosity, how many games do you play? 1? 5? 10, if even that?
