Picks Teemo jg, team rages and refuses to leash, "why no ganks?"

So I am experienced jungling with Teemo and I picked him in a Normals game to jungle. Two in my team made a fuzz about it and said I wouldn't get a leash. They actually didn't (Mid and Top). It took me longer to clear the 3 camps so I could b and upgrade machete. I was obviously a bit behind the enemy jungler. Helped bottom lane since they were nicer. We destroyed bot. We get dragon. Riven: "why no ganks when I am being camped? lmao i wish we didn't have a useless jungler"

1st: it is taking me longer because you were an asshole. 2nd: I have objectives like dragon. 3rd: you will be last on my list of ganks because you were an asshole.

Even if I was behind all game, I mined enemy jungle and controlled the map and won. Remember to be nice to your jungler.

"He without rage, ping for the first gank."

I LOVE TEEMO JUNGLE, I'm a Diamond Jungle Main. i played it in ranked a coupe of times. ITS Works, not the best. Map control once 6 is unreal. Drags should be pretty much free early on. Ganking, then sitting stealthed in the same lane you just ganked is funny as hell and works. One of the most entertaining junglers, I wouldnt do it if you don't have good runes or not experienced in the jungle.

The literal only reason I stopped playing Teemo top:

Me: "So why are you just letting a clear counter that is pushed to my turret that I could beat with a gank or two just sit here and free farm?"

My entire team: "Because you picked Teemo."

Later into the game.

My entire team: "Teemo, why aren't you doing anything about the enemy top?"

Me: "... Is... is that a serious question right now, or are you just really trying hard to be an asshole?"

Now I only ever go Teemo support because at least then I'm usually guaranteed some teamwork just by having the ADC exist in the lane and my team not wanting a fed Jinx on their hands.

First and foremost, you should try to start wherever your bot lane is, as they can give you a better leash.

It is fairly difficult to leash as a top laner because if you stay even a hint too long the enemy top laner will get the advantage against him (whether the enemy uses it is an entirely different question).

Second, Mid doesn't really leash anymore. Since you are starting either Kruggs, or Gromp, it is too difficult for mid lane to actually leash and still be able to get back to lane and not miss cs.

Not that I am defending this particular top laner in this case, but there are times when as a top laner you simply cannot afford to leash your jungler because of the nature of the matchup (this is particularly prevalent when dealing with very hard matchups), and thus you shouldn't expect him to.

I don't like teemo As a champ, I think he's annoying. But I will still leash for you if you are my jungler, I will still be nice to you, just because I want to have a non toxic game.

SinatraZ4/28/2015, 2:06:29 PM3 votes

You made the right decision. I wouldn't gank for this Riven either.

  1. Heck ya for trying new things in normal queue! Where can u try it otherwise? Plus, I think Teemo makes a good jungler with his speed boost and vision control. Why not?
  2. Gank is about expanding the already-extablished advantage in certain lane, not just to save someone from being camped. Duh!
  3. If you are on top lane, you supposed to survive from gank pressure. Plus, why would I help you if you were an ahole?

What kind of build do you run for jungle Teemo? I've been playing him for years, and currently Jungle is the only place I haven't used him more than once (that one time was a bad fail and I haven't gone back since.)

I'm actually kind of curious, how does Teemo jungle even work? He doesn't have the cc or the upfront damage to gank anyone, and he doesn't have the clear speed to be an afk farmer. So...what's the point of it? Or is it just a "for the lulz" thing?

I like this thread, im a teemo jungler as well, only in silver 3 atm, went from silver 5 doing it though.

Currently got around 40 games played with it, around a 63% win rate. was 68%, but you know, trolls.

You guys should add me so we can get into a group chat sometimes and discuss teemo jungle strats :)

Teemo is a crap champ that deserves to be exterminated like the little rat he is. I love when my opponent picks teemo, means I'm getting fed for little effort.

Poenacanuck4/28/2015, 2:35:33 PM2 votes

That speaks to a larger problem. Anytime anyone ever loses lane it's the junglers fault lol. I don't know why but Riven's all seem to be like that. Push to enemy tower, get ganked and die... repeat.

warpenguin5554/28/2015, 4:23:49 PM1 votes

Mid doesnt need to leash. Riven should have.

Sypher The Poro4/28/2015, 4:47:08 PM1 votes

I feel your pain. I love the word off-meta stuff, Riven jungle, Gnar support, etc. However, most people tend to hate on you unless you carry their game. Went Nunu mid once, and my entire team except the person I was partied with was like "gg LeBlanc destroy you". I made that game hell for LeBlanc. My snowballs (Which she tried to dodge with W/Flash all game) hurt way more than her poke, and costs less mana with my passive. I could heal myself with Q, and could solo Dragon super easily because of it. I was legendary all through mid-game, but we still lost because of two DCs. And of course, I get blamed for losing the game.

Yi DC'ed to talk with someone but came back, where Vayne left because and I quote: "The support took too many kills and she was too behind.")

I´m not really a fan of leashing jungle nowadays, usually the lane has to give up too much for it (getting lvl 2 second is just an incredible disadvantage vs good players) - and most junglers do just fine without the leash anyway (good lord, i can even jungle swain without a leash). Apart from that i fully agree, just because a pick is "off-meta" you always should give it a chance to suceed first instead of hoping for it to fail as a selffullfilling proficy due to your own sabotage.

Inglorious4/28/2015, 11:15:01 PM1 votes

Do not teemo jungle.

Great Pyrenees4/29/2015, 12:13:10 AM1 votes

I also teemo jungle. I have a question for you. Is it just me or does it ALWAYS feel like "If I stand here and trade without moving I will die". I get leads on people and yet with such a sustained damage kit I always feel like it better to peck then finish than stand and fight like a yordel. I play teemo ad, ap jungle supp. Hes a fun little buddy. Any tips?

TEHLAWLFlRM4/29/2015, 10:59:42 PM1 votes

We'll there are plenty of times I've helped the jungle and he refused to gank for me out of laziness.. I remember one game where their jungle came top 10 times and camped my lane and I didn't die but with two people pushing with minions I lost tower and My jungle didn't come top once.. When I said umm jungle why aren't you helping top? His excuse was buy wards.. it's not my responsibility to help you win lane.

Stupidity is bliss when it comes to jungles as well..
