I realized why Dynamic Queue is such a problem

So as a mid tier player who only plays solo I still didn't have an issue with Dynamic Queue because I don't really mind other people being in groups, my mentality was just "I'll play well and know what to do". Then I came across this post on the reddit Dynamic Queue megathread

And I realized why this is a problem. It's his point about teamplay and solo play not being comparable. I remembered that professional play can look so different from solo queue to the point it almost seems a different game. Different skills are important. So a person who is a Gold team player might really only be a high silver solo player, or maybe even a Plat player! And that's fine on it's own, but now his gold rank is being directly compared to someone who is a gold solo player. It's apples to oranges.

I think Riot just needs to encourage people forming groups of 5 for ranked 5v5. Have an easy way for solo players to say "I want to join a team as an adc" and then teams could just say "fill us an adc" and they could allow the person to join their team. This could lead to a more permanent stay or just be a quick fill because the top laner couldn't make it that day. Add voice chat for teams of 5 IN THE CLIENT!

There's plenty of ways to encourage people playing together and I'd agree that it's something League really needs, but trying to equate team-play and solo play as the same thing is just silly.

So I've been completely convinced and I really hope Riot goes back on their decision despite saying they wouldn't
