This was the big mistake I made when I first started playing League. You need to play A LOT of normal games before you start doing ranked. If you go straight into ranked, you will lose a lot of games, and your MMR will be horrid for next season as well.

Actually its better to master 1 or 2 champions. There are a lot of diamond players who are 1 trick ponies.
